The ISO 19202 1:2017 (ED.1) standard has been modified and is now known in Australia as AS 19202.1:2021. It attempts to set safety standards for the preparation, design, computation, production, erection, testing, and commissioning of summer toboggan slopes and the parts that make them.
This requirement is only applicable to athletic facilities with sloped, guided downhill tracks. By adopting dependent speed control devices, users of these facilities are able to regulate their speed while still descending by gravity. The standard makes sure that the highest level of safety is considered during the construction and operation of these summer toboggan runs.
