AS/NZS 2815.5:2013 PDF Download

The AS/NZS 2815.5:2013 standard specifies the qualifications needed to train and certify dive supervisors for use in SCUBA and SSBA occupational diving operations. SCUBA diving, surface-supplied diving up to 30 meters, and surface-supplied diving up to 50 meters are the three levels of supervisor qualifications that are outlined in the standard.

The supervision of diving operations carried out in accordance with the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Safety) Regulations 2009 or state Petroleum (Submerged Land) Acts and related regulations is expressly not covered by this standard. As long as they can successfully supervise a variety of common general diving activities, it can be used to train and evaluate dive supervisors for any kind of diving activity.

The training of dive coordinators who oversee and coordinate scientific diving performed in line with AS/NZS 2299.2 is not covered by this standard, but it is crucial to mention. The training activities and competencies listed in this standard, however, can work as a helpful manual for this kind of training.
