It's vital to note that the International Rugby Board's IRB Regulation 22 and related performance specifications for synthetic turf surfaces must also be followed by surfaces intended for rugby union contests. The standard further suggests that laboratories be accredited to EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the pertinent test techniques listed in the standard when independent third-party testing is necessary to determine conformity.
