A European standard known as BS EN 16713-3:2016 describes the specifications and testing procedures for equipment and techniques of pool water treatment used in residential swimming pools. However, public pools, spas (whether private or public), paddling pools in accordance with EN 71-8, and pools that resemble nature are not covered by this standard.

It is crucial to remember that EN 16713-1 should be used for filtration systems and EN 16713-2 for circulation systems.
