Standard EN SampleHousehold and Similar Electrical Appliances. Safety. Particular Requirements for Spray Extraction Machines, for Commercial Use
Also Known As:
The safety standards for electrical spray extraction devices used for commercial purposes are covered by the standard BS EN 60335-2-68:2012. These devices can be used with or without attachments and electrical heating components, are portable, and are not self-propelled. Various venues, including public usage spaces, industrial locations, retail stores, office buildings, and rental services are covered by the standard.
The standard applies to machines that are powered by mains or batteries and do not have traction drives. The equipment must abide by a number of restrictions, including a maximum pressure of 2.5 MPa, a maximum product of pressure and flow of 100, and a maximum cleaning agent temperature of 85 °C at the spray nozzle output.
The title, scope, words and definitions, and basic requirements have all changed in the standard's fourth edition. Marking and instruction clauses have been updated, and there are new annexes for acoustical noise and vibration emissions.
