Standard EN SampleDomestic Cooking Appliances Burning Gas - Safety - Appliances Having Forced-Convection Ovens and/or Grills
Also Known As:
The specifications, constructional features, and operational characteristics for residential cooking equipment with forced-convection ovens and/or grills that are powered by combustible gases are specified in the BS EN 30-1-2:2012 standard. Even if other heating components use electrical energy, the norm nevertheless holds true for both independent component parts and appliances that incorporate these component parts. The standard specifies standards for the electrical safety of gas-related equipment, but it excludes the electrical safety of electrically heated components and the equipment that goes along with them.
Appliances with pyrolytic gas ovens, covered burners that do not adhere to constructional requirements, appliances with flame supervision devices and automatic ignition, appliances with periodically ignited and extinguished burners, appliances with fans for combustion air or evacuation, and appliances at pressures above are some examples of appliances that are exempt from the standard.
The requirements for third-family gas cylinders, regulators, and connectors are not covered by the standard. It's crucial to keep in mind that the standard only addresses type testing.
