The safety standard BS EN 60335-2-85:2003+A11:2018 is focused primarily on electric fabric steamers used for domestic and similar purposes. This specification is applicable to fabric steamers with a maximum rated voltage of 250 V. It covers equipment exclusively made for industrial or commercial usage; however, it excludes gadgets used by laypeople in stores that could endanger the general public.
