The electrical resistance between two opposed places on the floor covering is referred to as vertical resistance. This test determines how well the floor covering conducts electricity vertically.
The electrical resistance between the floor covering and the earth is measured by the resistance to the earth. This test measures the ability of the flooring to absorb static charges and prevent electrical shocks.
The surface resistance test determines the electrical resistance across the floor covering's surface. It evaluates the flooring's ability to offer a safe environment, particularly when static electricity is a concern.
