The IEC 60730 series includes the BS EN 60730-2-15:2010 standard, which is focused on the specifications for automatic electrical air flow, water flow, and water level sensing controls. The controls used in boilers with a maximum pressure rating of 2,000 kPA (20 bar) as well as other equipment for normal household use, such as heating and cooling systems, are covered by this standard.
The original edition of the standard, released in 1994, and all of its updates, as well as the first editions of IEC 60730-2-16 and IEC 60730-2-18, have been replaced by this second edition. The three aforementioned standards are combined in the second edition, which is a technical revision. To include the new issues covered, the standard's title and scope were updated.
