Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-82: Particular requirements for amusement machines and personal service machines
Also Known As:
A Canadian standard known as CSA C22.2 No. 60335-2-82:20 describes the security standards for entertainment devices and personal service devices used in homes and other comparable settings. With Canadian variations, this standard is an adaptation of the relevant IEC standard.
This standard's coverage includes personal service and commercial entertainment devices with rated voltages up to 480 volts for other devices and 250 volts for single-phase devices. Tables, bowling alleys, dartboards, gaming devices, kiddie rides, pinball machines, and video games are a few examples of appliances covered by this standard.
The standard intends to address typical risks that are faced by both maintenance staff and users. It also acknowledges the possibility of extra standards for appliances used in automobiles, ships, airplanes, or in nations with unique national labor and health protection laws.
It's important to note that this standard does not apply to equipment used solely for domestic or industrial purposes, equipment used in hazardous environments like corrosive or explosive atmospheres, equipment used to wash cars, equipment used in vending machines, or equipment covered by other particular standards like IEC 60065 and IEC 60950-1.
