In terms of controlled outlet pressure when coupled to a propane gas supply system or a self-contained fuel source, the standard specifies the criteria for portable refrigerators. Additionally, based on various fuel supply methods, it specifies the conditions and restrictions for both indoor and outdoor use of these freezers.

The standard also includes specifications for the electrical apparatus and wiring, the refrigerants that must be used in these refrigerators, and the conversion of measuring units from yard/pound to SI (Metric) values.
