Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Part 2: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Griddles and Griddle Grills
Also Known As:
The electrically operated commercial griddles and griddle grills that are not meant for home use are covered by the CAN/CSA-E335-2-38-94 standard. Taking into account the impact of non-electrical components, this guideline also applies to appliances that use other types of energy. Grills, continuous process griddles used in mass food production, and equipment designed for use in environments with unique requirements, such as explosive or corrosive atmospheres, are not covered by this rule.
While this standard generally pertains to griddle grills and commercial electric griddles, other specifications might be needed for appliances used in cars, ships, airplanes, or tropical regions. It also emphasizes the fact that many nations have additional criteria in place for national authorities in charge of health, water supplies, and labor protection.
