Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Part 2: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Boiling Pans
Also Known As:
Specific safety standards for electrically operated commercial boiling pans that are not meant for family use are established by the CAN/CSA-E335-2-47-94 standard. It also includes allowances for non-electric appliances, taking into account the impact of the non-electric components on the electrical components.
However, this standard does not apply to boiling pans used in industrial settings, continuous-process boiling pans used in the manufacturing of large quantities of food, heating pans with electrodes, or pressure cooking pans. In a similar vein, it excludes appliances designed for use in places with unique circumstances, such as explosive or corrosive atmospheres (dust, vapor, or gas). The regulations for appliances intended for use in automobiles, ships, or aircraft could differ.
It's important to keep in mind that different nations may have their own unique additional standards set forth by national authorities in charge of ensuring access to health care, clean water, and labor protections. Additionally, several nations may have particular laws governing pressure equipment.
