Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Part 2: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Dishwashing Machines
Also Known As:
The CAN/CSA-E335-2-58-94 standard specifies safety requirements for commercial dishwashing equipment that is electrically powered. The requirement is applicable to equipment, with or without water heating or drying capabilities, used in commercial settings to wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, and similar items. Other energy-using appliances are also covered.
The standard does not, however, apply to ultrasonic systems, dishwashers created specifically for industrial use, dishwashers that do not function as a single functional unit (such as machines with separate transportation devices), independently driven transport devices that are not under the control of the appliance, or dishwashers meant to be used in environments with unique conditions such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres.
There may be additional restrictions for appliances meant for usage in cars, ships, aircraft, or tropical regions. It is significant to note that in many nations, extra standards may be specified by national authorities in charge of health, water supplies, and labor protection. Furthermore, in some nations, pressure vessels may be subject to particular regulations.
