The DIN EN 71-13 standard aims to guarantee the security of gustatory games, cosmetic kits, and olfactory board games. It specifies the conditions under which substances and mixtures, including those that would be deemed toxic or bad for children's health, may be used in these items. The standard also establishes rules for marking, including allergic smells, the inclusion of a contents list, and usage instructions. It forbids the use of allergenic perfumes in toys.
The standard forbids the use of highly flammable liquids and covers the equipment that will be utilized during the activity. It does not, however, apply to doll-designed cosmetic toys.
