Permanently Installed Outdoor Fitness Equipment - Safety Requirements and Test Methods
Also Known As:
For permanently placed outdoor fitness equipment, the DIN EN 16630 standard specifies the necessary safety measures and test procedures. It covers the creation, setting up, testing, and upkeep of such machinery. However, it expressly leaves out machinery that is powered or helped by electricity.
The standard is designed for those who want to use the equipment for exercise in order to develop fitness and who are 14 years of age or older or who are taller than 1400 mm. It is significant to note that, even if the equipment satisfies the standards of various other European Standards, this standard does not apply to playground equipment for children (EN 1176), indoor stationary training equipment (EN 957), or free access multi-sports equipment (EN 15312).
