Specification for Dedicated Liquefied Petroleum Gas Appliances - Independent Stoves, Including Those Incorporating a Grill for Outdoor Use
Also Known As:
For independent stoves, including those with a grill, that burn liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and are used outside, the DIN EN 484 standard specifies the constructional and performance features, safety requirements, and economical use of energy. These appliances and their functional components, whether standalone or included in an assembly, are covered by the standard. Only type testing is included.
Third-family gas supplied to appliances at pressures higher than those allowed by the standard is not covered. Likewise, this guideline does not apply to appliances used in recreational vehicles or boats. Due to their modest output and brief usage times, independent hotplate burners with a nominal heat input below 1.16 kW and grills are also exempt from particular energy efficiency criteria.
