Diving Accessories - Combined Buoyancy and Rescue Devices - Functional and Safety Requirements, Test Methods
Also Known As:
The DIN EN 12628 standard establishes functional and safety standards for diving equipment that combines buoyancy and rescue capabilities. These gadgets are made to give divers rescue capabilities as well as buoyancy. The standard specifies the minimal safety standards that these devices must adhere to in order to function properly.
The combined buoyancy and rescue equipment used by divers, as defined in Section 3.1, are expressly covered by this standard. Since buoyancy compensators are covered by a different standard (EN 1809), it does not apply to them. This standard's goal is to guarantee the dependability and conformance of combined buoyancy and rescue systems.
The standard contains test procedures for assessing the efficiency and security of these devices. These tests assist in determining whether the devices satisfy the minimal specifications outlined in the standard.
