Eye and Face Protectors for Sports Use - Part 2: Requirements for Eye Protectors for Squash and Eye Protectos for Racquetball and Squash 57
Also Known As:
Squash, Racquetball, and Squash 57 sports, as well as others with comparable dangers but no higher risks, are covered by the DIN EN ISO 18527-2 standard for eye protection. Eye protection with prescription lenses is covered by the standard, but not eye protection meant to be worn over glasses. It covers a number of topics, including the eye shields' materials, construction, optical qualities, testing, labeling, and marking.
Additionally, Annex A of the standard provides details on how to choose and use eye protection specifically for squash, racquetball, and squash 57. Occupational eye protection, eye protection without lenses, eye protection for sports with hazards unrelated to or posing greater dangers than those described in Squash, Racquetball, and Squash 57, and eye protection designed to be worn over prescription eyeglasses are all exempt from this rule.
