Independent Gas-Fired Convection Heaters; Amendment A1
Also Known As:
Independent gas-fired convection heaters are the topic of the DIN EN 613:2001 standard, which has been updated to include the DIN EN 613/A1 standard. The modification, sometimes referred to as Amendment A1, adds a new specification for down-draught testing at wind speed. As a result, the standard now contains standards and instructions for evaluating the performance of gas-fired convection heaters in wind-driven situations.
With this change, it will be possible for gas-fired convection heaters to function correctly and provide the appropriate heating performance even in adverse weather conditions, including strong winds. The heaters' resistance to and ability to overcome wind-driven downward air flow will be assessed during the down-draught testing to ensure that their functioning is not adversely impacted.
The DIN EN 613/A1 standard incorporates this new requirement in an effort to improve the security, dependability, and efficiency of gas-fired convection heaters by giving producers, authorities, and consumers a thorough set of instructions for evaluating and approving these heating devices.
