Automatic Electrical Controls - Part 2-15: Particular Requirements for Automatic Electrical Air Flow, Water Flow, and Water Level Sensing Controls
Also Known As:
A standard known as IEC 60730-2-15:2017 outlines specific specifications for automatic electrical air flow, water flow, and water level sensing controls. It covers controls used in conjunction with boilers as well as home and other related equipment, such as controllers for heating, air conditioning, and other uses. Examples of these controls include air flow, water flow, and water level sensing controls used in swimming pool pumps, dishwashers, washing machines, and ventilation applications, as well as water flow and water level sensing controls used in boiler applications.
The controls used in equipment that the general public may access, such as equipment used in stores, offices, hospitals, farms, and commercial and industrial applications, are likewise covered by this standard. The third edition of this standard, which was released in 2017, has technical improvements in line with the fifth edition of IEC 60730-1, and it replaces the second edition, which was published in 2008. This version of the standard specifies specifications for humidity sensing controls and is meant to be used in conjunction with IEC 60730-1.
Whenever this standard refers to "addition," "modification," or "replacement," it refers to the relevant requirements, test specifications, or explanatory items in Part 1 that shall be modified appropriately. This document specifies that the applicable clause or subclause of Part 1 applies when no modification is required.
