Household refrigerating appliances - Characteristics and test methods - Part 2: Performance requirements
Also Known As:
The IEC 62552-2:2015+A1:2020 CSV standard is a collection of specifications that spell out the qualities and testing procedures for home refrigeration equipment. The standard focuses on appliances that use forced air circulation or internal natural convection to cool themselves. It outlines performance requirements and offers test procedures for examining these appliances' crucial features.
This standard comprises distinct tests for various appliance features, and it is advised to apply all tests to a single sample. It does not, however, offer a method for extrapolating sample test results to predict the traits of the complete population from which the sample was drawn.
IEC 62552-2:2015+A1:2020 is a technical update to the 2007-released first edition. In Part 2 of the standard, the modification adds performance tests for wine storage appliances as well as a cooling capacity test, a pull-down test, and other significant technical changes.
The first edition of the standard (2015) and its amendment 1 (2020) are combined to form the consolidated version, which does away with the requirement to order the amendment individually.
