Also Known As:
The goal of the CSV standard, IEC 60335-2-44:2002+AMD1:2008+AMD2:2011, is to guarantee the safety of electric ironers used for domestic and other applications. It covers appliances with a maximum rated voltage of 480 V for other appliances and 250 V for single-phase appliances. The standard also covers ironers used by laypeople in retail establishments, small-scale industries, and farms.

It is advised to consult IEC 60335-1:2010 in order to comprehend the requirements described in this standard in their entirety. This standard is a condensed version that combines the third edition from 2002, amendment number one from 2008, and amendment number two from 2011. Therefore, as they are already included in this publication, there is no need to order any amendments individually. In order to protect users' safety and prevent any potential risks related to electric ironers, this standard's objective is to define the required safety rules.
