Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-68: Particular Requirements for Spray Extraction Machines, for Commercial Use

The safety of motor-driven spray extraction devices used for commercial indoor use is the objective of the CSV standard IEC 60335-2-68:2012+A1:2016. The standard covers equipment used in a wide range of establishments, including hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, retail stores, rental services, and more.
The specification includes both mains-powered motors and battery-powered motors for machines lacking traction drives. It states that the cleaning agent's operating pressure should not be greater than 2.5 MPa and that the sum of the pressure and flow rate should not be greater than 100. Additionally, the cleaning agent's temperature at the spray nozzle exit shouldn't be higher than 85 °C.
The standard's third edition from 2002 and any updates it received are now obsolete in favor of this fourth edition. An updated title, updated scope, updated words and definitions, general modifications and updates to the standard, and updated marks and instructions are just a few of the changes from the previous edition. It's also important to note the introduction of Annex AA on "Emission of Acoustic Noise" and Annex BB on "Emission of Vibration."
It is crucial to remember that IEC 60335-1:2010 should be read in conjunction with this publication. There is no requirement to order a further amendment because the 2016 amendment is already contained in this consolidated version.
