Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-82: Particular requirements for amusement machines and personal service machines
Also Known As:
A standard called IEC 60335-2-82:2002+A1:2008+A2:2015 focuses on the safety standards for electric personal service and commercial entertainment devices. In particular, it applies to equipment having a rated voltage of up to 480 V for other appliances and 250 V for single-phase appliances. The standard applies to a wide variety of recreational devices, including video games, dartboards, bowling alleys, pool tables, and bowling alleys. It also comprises equipment for providing personal services, such as card revaluation devices, money dispensers, luggage lockers, weighing scales, and shoe shining devices.
The standard's second edition from 2002, as well as amendments 1 and 2 from 2008 and 2015, are all included in this condensed form. It is significant to highlight that since they are already contained in this publication, there is no need to order any amendments. It is advised to read this standard in conjunction with IEC 60335-1:2013, which outlines general safety specifications for home appliances and other electrical devices of a similar nature.
