Alpine Ski/Binding/Boot (S-B-B) System - Assembly, Adjustment and Inspection
Also Known As:
The processes for constructing, modifying, and inspecting the binding mechanisms of ski equipment are laid forth in the standard ISO 11088:2018. The standard strives to effectively incorporate the demands of international standards pertaining to skis, bindings, and boots.
This standard is aimed at people and organizations that assemble, modify, and check ski bindings, especially sporting goods shops. In alpine skiing, where at least one component is owned by the user, it applies to the ski-binding-boot (S-B-B) system.
This document's scope includes both full and partial S-B-B systems that are either the user's property or are rented out for at least 15 days. ISO 13993 offers a different method of measurement for equipment rented for a shorter period of time than 15 days.
