ISO 7171:2019 PDF Download

The ISO 7171:2019 standard focuses on determining the stability of fully completed and ready-to-use free-standing storage units. It describes test procedures for determining the stability of these units as well as instructions for interpreting test findings.

It should be noted that the test findings obtained are only applicable to the individual unit or component examined. However, as long as the tested model is indicative of the production model, these results can be utilized to represent the overall performance of production models.

The standard only provides the test procedures and does not specify the forces that storage units must withstand without tipping over. These precise needs will be described in a separate requirements paper.
