Two different kinds of vacuum bottles are covered by the JIS S 2006:2016 standard: stainless steel and glass vacuum bottles. To effectively insulate liquids from heat and cold, these bottles are made with a double-wall construction and a vacuum insulation layer. 

The requirement applies to stainless steel vacuum bottles with a double-wall vacuum vessel and glass vacuum bottles with a double-wall vacuum vessel. For the purpose of insulating liquids from heat, vacuum bottles made of glass and stainless steel are both used.

This standard specifies the specifications and testing procedures for a number of vacuum bottle properties, including capacity, thermal insulation performance, leakage prevention, materials utilized, and labeling. The vacuum bottles must meet the appropriate quality and safety requirements for the intended usage, and compliance with this standard guarantees that they do.
