NACE SP0815 WAB-2015 PDF Download

The NACE SP0815 WAB-2015 standard, commonly known as Commercial Wet Abrasive Blast Cleaning, is a collection of instructions for using wet abrasive blast cleaning to achieve a particular level of visible surface cleanliness on uncoated or coated steel surfaces. Through the use of pressured water or by injecting abrasive into the abrasive stream, water and abrasive are combined in a blast cleaning operation in this manner.

The final state of the surface is described by the standard in terms of visible pollutants, which are found by visual inspection. Additionally, it details the tools and techniques that must be applied in order to attain and validate the appropriate level of cleanliness.
