UL 62841-3-13:2018 PDF Download

The UL 62841-3-13:2018 standard specifies safety requirements for transportable drills. This standard applies to drills with manually fed axial movement of the spindle and a maximum chuck capacity of 13mm. Transportable drills, also known as bench drills or drill presses, are the focus of this standard, while stationary drilling machines and radial arm drills are explicitly excluded from its scope. Furthermore, magnetic drill stands and drill motors are not covered by this standard but will be addressed in a future part of the UL 62841-3 series. It is worth noting that for European applications (EN 62841-3-13), radial arm drills and stationary drilling machines fall under the requirements of EN 12717.
