The UL 62841-2-1:2018 standard is a safety standard that provides particular requirements for hand-held drills and impact drills. This standard also covers diamond core drills and drills that can be used for driving screws by attaching screwdriver bits. It should be noted that this standard does not apply to rotary hammers, which are covered by a different standard, IEC 62841-2-6. The aim of this standard is to ensure that hand-held drills and impact drills are safe to use and do not pose a risk to the user.
