The AS/NZS 60335.2.14:2017 (IEC Text) standard aims to protect people from electric kitchen appliances used in homes and other comparable settings. Appliances with a maximum rated voltage of 250 V are covered by the standard. As of June 30, 2020, AS/NZS 60335.2.14:2013 will be replaced by this standard, which is an upgrade.
The sixth edition of the international standard IEC 60335-2-14:2016, which addresses the same safety criteria for kitchen appliances, is incorporated into the standard as well as its text. To comply with national requirements and ensure compliance with the electrical safety standards relevant to Australia and New Zealand, AS/NZS 60335.2.14:2017 may include minor adjustments.
