The safety of electric massage machines used for domestic and similar applications is the emphasis of the AS/NZS 60335.2.32:2014 (IEC TEXT) standard. This standard is applicable to devices with rated voltages up to 480 V for other devices and 250 V for single-phase devices. It encompasses a variety of massage devices, such as foot massagers, hand-held massagers, massage beds, chairs, pads, and belts.
After a two-year transitional period, the AS/NZS 60335.2.32:2004 version is supposed to be replaced by this standard. Regulating bodies are anticipated to accept massage devices in accordance with either standard at this time. The IEC 60335-2-32 Ed 4.2 standard's text is identical to and included in the AS/NZS 60335.2.32:2014 standard.
