Standard EN SampleStandard Safety Specification for Components, Assembly, Use, and Labeling of Consumer Trampolines
Also Known As:
For the safe usage of trampolines in residential settings, ASTM F381-16 offers recommendations and specifications. The guideline notably excludes institutional trampolines in order to lessen the risks connected to consumer trampoline use.
According to the standard, trampolines made in accordance with this specification must include a number of parts when they are put up for sale, including a frame, a bed, a suspension system, frame padding, an information packet, and appropriate markings. It does, however, specifically prohibit the inclusion of a trampoline ladder as a component or in the same packaging.
The standard mandates the inclusion of roller stands for portable trampolines. When it comes to safety testing, trampolines with frame padding must pass a shock attenuation test, while those without are subjected to a drop test. If the edge system differs from the frame padding, a drop test to determine whether it will survive is also performed on it. The padding attachment system test, which identifies padding retention, is also part of the standard.
