Standard EN SampleStandard Practice for Design, Manufacture, Installation, Operation, Maintenance, Inspection and Major Modification of Trampoline Courts
Also Known As:
The ASTM F2970-20 standard offers uniform requirements and practical concerns for the planning, building, and administration of institutional trampoline courts.
The standard is meant to be used by all parties engaged in the production of trampoline courts at all phases, including architects, designers, engineers, builders, manufacturers, inspectors, owners, and operators.
This standard does not apply to trampolines used for recreational purposes, trampolines used in water or as aquatic play equipment, trampolines used primarily for professional exhibitions, or single-user trampolines operated under close supervision.
Additionally, stand-alone institutional trampoline units that use a mechanical tethered system or small mesh netting to limit fall and have a total bed area less than 37,000 square inches are not covered by the standard. Additionally, inflatable amusement equipment is not included; however, trampoline courts that mount or dismount onto inflatable impact attenuation systems are included.
Trampoline courts with equipment to impart more energy to the suspension or bed system are not allowed by the standard.
Activities like bouncing, jumping, acrobatics, therapeutic rehabilitation, team sports like dodgeball, basketball, or volleyball, as well as supplemental equipment like foam or inflatable balls, toys, wakeboards, snowboards, hoops, nets, ropes, goals, or harness systems, are all taken into account within the standard.
