Domestic and Non-Domestic Gas-Fired Forced Convection Air Heaters for Space Heating Not Exceeding a Net Heat Input of 300 kW

SKU148872377 Published by Deutsches Institut für Normung DIN Publication Date2020-04 Pages CountPages195

The specifications and test procedures for gas-fired forced convection air heaters used for space heating are laid forth in the DIN EN 17082 standard. The standard is applicable to appliances with or without a fan to help move flue gases and/or combustion air. The range of appliances covered by this standard includes those with a maximum net heat input of 300 kW, including Types A2, A3, B11, B12, B13, B14, B22, B23, B41, B42, B43, B44, B52, B53, C11, C12, C13, C21, C31, C32, C33, C41, C62, and C63.

Both single-family homes and non-residential buildings can make use of these appliances. Through ducting systems, they could deliver hot air. The standard does not, however, cover appliances that are dual-purpose air conditioners, those that use an intermediate fluid for heating, portable or transportable forced-convection appliances, appliances for outdoor installation, those that have manual or automatic flue dampers, those that have multiple heating units and a single draught diverter, those that have more than one flue outlet, those that have gas boosters, and some domestic appliances.

The standards for the evaluation of conformance are also covered by the standard, including factory production control. Only Products Other Than Central Heating and their related terminals are subject to these standards.
