Also Known As:
The construction and standards of synthetic turf fields used for outdoor sporting events are expressly covered under the DIN 18035-7 standard. It can be used in regions with either filled or unfilled pile surfaces on synthetic turf. Additional requirements that are part of the standard but do not conflict with DIN EN 15330-1 are included.
The many layers beneath the synthetic turf and their unique needs are one important topic covered in the standard. This covers specifics regarding the components of these layers and their fillers, as well as environmental compatibility issues. The standard also acknowledges the adaptability of artificial turf fields by stating that they can be used for a variety of sports, including football, hockey, American football, and tennis, for both training and competitive reasons. It also underlines that these spaces are appropriate for both school sports and other kinds of sporting events.
