Resilient, Textile, Laminate and Modular Multilayer Floor Coverings - Essential Characteristics
Also Known As:
The fundamental traits for many types of floor coverings, such as resilient, textile, laminate, and modular multilayer floor coverings, are outlined in the DIN EN 14041 standard. Rugs, runners, and loose-laid mats are not included. The standard is applicable to interior floor coverings that are installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
The standard outlines the evaluation procedures for assessing the performance of crucial traits as well as the ways to express that performance. The systems for AVCP (evaluation and verification of constancy of performance) and the necessary labeling for these floor coverings are also established.
It is crucial to remember that this standard does not include specifications for floor coverings that are unrelated to the basic qualities listed in Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011. The installation and upkeep of the floor coverings are also not covered by the standard.
