For drinking apparatus intended for children, the DIN EN 14350 standard specifies safety standards and test procedures. These products must adhere to basic safety requirements thanks to the standard. The Technical Committee relied on prior validation for certain sections of the standard that were based on already-validated national and international sources.
It's significant to note that drinking equipment intended for medicinal applications or for usage under a doctor's supervision is exempt from this criteria. Additionally, it expressly leaves soothers out of its purview. Another standard, EN 1400, which outlines the safety standards and testing procedures for these specific goods, applies to soothers.
