Hardware for Furniture - Strength and Durability of Extension Elements and Their Components
Also Known As:
The strength and durability specifications for extension elements and the parts that make them up that are used in furniture hardware are addressed in the DIN EN 15338 standard. Sections A.1, A.2, and A.7 of this standard have been modified, and the amendment is known as A1.
This modification aims to align the standard with other standards covered by CEN/TC 207/WG 8 in terms of product information. It promotes uniformity and compatibility among various furniture hardware items by aligning DIN EN 15338 with pertinent standards.
The goal of Amendment A1 is to raise the general level of performance, dependability, and quality of extension elements and their constituent parts. The changes made to sections A.1, A.2, and A.7 are probably intended to provide manufacturers with the necessary parameters so they may meet the strength and durability standards of furniture hardware.
