Standard EN SampleHousehold and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-110: Particular Requirements for Commercial Microwave Appliances with Insertion or Contacting Applicators
Also Known As:
2019+AMD1 IEC 60335-2-110 For commercial microwave ovens with insertion or contact applicators, there is a particular safety standard called CSV. The standard is applicable to appliances having a maximum rated voltage of 480 volts for other appliances and 250 volts for single-phase appliances. These commercial-grade appliances have either an open-ended insertion applicator or a large- or small-area contact applicator for certain tasks, including drying, removing paint, and spot heating.
The standard outlines safety standards and recommendations for how these appliances should be built, assembled, and operated. It includes a number of topics, such as electrical safety, mechanical stability, radiation protection, preventing an excessive temperature rise, and moisture ingress protection. The goal of the standard is to guarantee that these appliances are used safely in business settings, safeguarding both users and the environment from any risks.
The first edition from 2013 and its first amendment from 2019 are both included in this publication, which is a consolidated version. There is no need to request individual revisions to this publication as a result. IEC 60335-1:2010, which outlines general safety criteria for home appliances and other comparable electrical devices, should be read in combination with the standard.
