Also Known As:
A standard called IEC 60335-2-109:2010+A1:2013+A2:2016 focuses on the security requirements for UV radiation water treatment equipment used in homes and other similar settings. Appliances with a rated voltage of up to 250 V must adhere to the specification. It also includes common household appliances utilized in businesses, small industries, farms, and other locations where there may be a risk to the general public.
The standard highlights the necessity for a transitional phase so that testing organizations and equipment manufacturers can conform to the new specifications and carry out the necessary tests. Within 12 to 36 months after the publication date, national committees are advised to put the information in this document into practice.
The standard's first edition (2010), amendment number one (2013), and amendment number two (2016) are all included in this condensed form. Thus, it is not necessary to order additional modifications in addition to this publication. For a thorough understanding and application of the safety requirements, please consult the standard IEC 60335-1:2010 along with this document.
