Household electric direct-acting room heaters - Methods for measuring performance - Part 2: Additional provisions for the measurement of the radiant factor
Also Known As:
A standard called IEC 60675-2:2020 is dedicated to measuring the radiant factor of electric direct-acting room heaters. Given that it has to do with how well these heaters can radiate radiant heat, the radiant factor is a crucial performance trait. In order to give consumers precise information regarding the heater's performance, this standard adds additional clauses and techniques for measuring the radiant factor.
The standard is intended to be used in conjunction with IEC 60675:1994, IEC 60675:1994/AMD1:1998, and IEC 60675:1994/AMD2:2018, among others. While IEC 60675-2:2020 explicitly addresses the measurement of the radiant factor, these standards probably offer general principles and measuring techniques for evaluating the performance of electric room heaters.
