Household electric direct-acting room heaters - Methods for measuring performance
Also Known As:
The performance measurement techniques for domestic electric direct-acting room heaters are laid out in the IEC 60675:1994+AMD1:1998 CSV standard. It applies to a variety of heater models, including portable, fixed, built-in, and stationary ones. The standard describes the key performance traits that are to be assessed and offers instructions for carrying out precise measurements.
You should be aware that this version of the standard is a consolidation of the second edition from 1994 and its amendment number 1 from 1998. This indicates that since the change has already been incorporated into this publication, there is no need to request it separately.
As it explicitly addresses the performance measurement methods for such heaters, a different standard (IEC 60531) should be examined in the case of thermal-storage room heaters. On the other hand, the IEC 60675 standard concentrates on direct-acting space heaters and acts as a thorough reference for evaluating their performance.
