Also Known As:
The standard ISO 25649-3:2017 addresses the additional safety requirements and test procedures for Class A floating leisure goods used on and in water. This standard applies to Class A floating leisure goods, regardless of whether their buoyancy is generated by inflation or inherent buoyancy. It is intended to be used in tandem with ISO 25649-1 and ISO 25649-2.
Floating islands, big floats or rafts of various shapes, floating arm chairs and sun beds, air mattresses for water use, and recreational rafts and platforms are examples of Class A items, as defined in Annex A of the standard. These items are commonly found in pools, protected parts of lakes and ponds, and protected sections of the seashore where there are no offshore winds or currents.
