AS/NZS 60335.2.13:2017 (IEC TEXT) PDF Download

The safety standards for electric appliances used for deep-frying and oil-based cooking are the main subject of the AS/NZS 60335.2.13:2017 (IEC TEXT) standard. Deep-fat fryers, frying pans, woks, and other such appliances with a suggested maximum oil capacity of 5 liters are covered by this standard. The appliances covered by this standard must be designed for domestic use and have a rated voltage of no more than 250 volts.

As of June 30, 2019, the AS/NZS 60335.2.13 standard will replace AS/NZS 60335.2.13:2010. It incorporates Amendment 1 (2016) and is identical to IEC 60335-2-13 Ed.6 in terms of content. This standard provides manufacturers with instructions to ensure the safety of these appliances during operation and assures that deep-fat fryers and similar appliances comply with particular safety standards.
