Playing Field Equipment - Lightweight Goals: Functional, Safety Requirements and Test Methods
Also Known As:
The essential functional and safety standards, as well as the appropriate test procedures, are laid forth in the DIN EN 16664 standard for lightweight goals. It especially targets goals that are not covered by other standards like EN 15312 (free access multi-sports), EN 13451-4 (water polo), EN 16579, EN 748 (football), EN 749 (handball), EN 750 (hockey), EN 1270 (basketball), and EN 16579.
As established by CEN/TC 52, inflatable goals and goals that are toys are not covered by this standard. It specifically pertains to playing field goals used for training or recreational play, both indoors and outside, in public and educational institutions as well as recreational locations. It should be recognized, nonetheless, that this criteria does not apply to objectives made for home use.
