Office Furniture - Work Tables - Part 2: Safety, Strength, and Durability Requirements
Also Known As:
The purpose of the DIN EN 527-2 standard is to provide the necessary requirements for workstations and desks used for various office jobs in terms of safety, strength, and longevity. These chores can be carried out sitting down, standing up, or in a sit-stand position. It is significant to highlight that the EN 15372 standard governs other types of tables seen in an office setting and that this standard only applies to work tables and desks.
The stiffness test for the structure, as described in Clause 5, is one specific issue covered in Modification A1 to this standard. This test is carried out to make sure the desk or work table meets the necessary stiffness standards. The goal of the standard is to guarantee that the furniture in question offers a secure and long-lasting workstation for office tasks.
