The IEC/ASTM 62885-6:2018 standard is concerned with measuring the effectiveness of wet hard floor cleaning equipment intended for domestic or similar use. The standard includes techniques for measuring these qualities as well as addressing the critical performance features of these appliances.
Appliances used to clean wet hard floors under conditions resembling those encountered in homes must comply with the specification. It does not, however, include robotic or cordless wet floor cleaning equipment.
