Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Test Code for the Determination of Airborne Acoustical Noise - Part 2-3: Particular Requirements for Dishwashers
Also Known As:
The CSV standard IEC 60704-2-3:2001+AMD1:2005 gives rules for measuring sound emissions from dishwashers. This standard applies to electric dishwashers designed for household and similar usage, including those with or without automatic program control and that provide a cold and/or hot water supply. Dishwashers that can be set on the floor against a wall, built-in or positioned under a counter, mounted on a wall or counter, or installed under a sink are all covered by the standard.
The goal of this standard is to create consistent testing methodologies for determining the airborne acoustical noise produced by dishwashers while in use. Manufacturers can accurately test and compare the noise levels of different dishwashing models provided they follow these recommendations. The standard covers a variety of topics, such as connecting to water supply or sewage systems, using detachable or permanent connections, and the precise constraints for applying the test code.
This consolidated version of the standard incorporates the standard's second edition from 2001 as well as its amendment 1 from 2005. As a result, there is no need to arrange the amendment's publication separately.
